02 The shop

Specialists first, generalists when you need one

Plenty of shops will tell you they can do a transmission. Fewer build them. The shop was started on transmission work — tearing them down, finding what failed and putting them back together properly — and that is still what it is known for in San Angelo.

Along the way the work grew to cover everything else a vehicle needs: diagnostics, brakes, engine and cooling work, electrical, A/C, suspension and routine maintenance. One vehicle, one place, the whole job handled.

We also do performance and heavy-duty work, because around here people tow, haul and work their trucks. Stock is not always enough, and we would rather build something that lasts than replace the same part twice.

A repair shop is a trust business. You are handing over your vehicle and your money and trusting somebody to be straight with you about both. That is the standard the shop works to.

03 How we work

Plain answers, no runaround

  • Free diagnosticsWe look before we charge. Finding out what is wrong costs you nothing.
  • We explain what failedNot just what to replace — why, in language that makes sense.
  • You get optionsRepair, rebuild or replace, with the cost of each, so you decide.
  • Work stays in the shopThe transmission work does not get sent down the road to somebody else.
  • We tell you when to waitIf something can safely wait, we will say so rather than pad the ticket.
